Natures Gifts 2023
2023 Solo exhibition at Michael Reid Southern Highlands gallery
"As an artist I've continually felt compelled to creatively respond to and interpret my most familiar and immediate surroundings. I live in the bush in the hills of the Gold Coast Hinterland, we are surrounded by ancient and inspiring landscape and all manner of Australian wildlife. We also spend a lot of time along the east coast of Australia and it is these landscapes along with the flora and fauna that provide much of the inspiration for my work. The paintings are from experience, they come out of direct observation, sketches, plein-air painting and photographs."
