Steve Tyerman

While my paintings are predominantly landscapes and seascapes, my main interest in paint is to get closer to the way I actually see and experience the world around me. My art is an attempt to create a total synthesis of my visual sensations and lived experiences, the paintings are emotional responses to my familiar surroundings, tempered and informed by my keen interest in gardening, wildlife, literature and the natural world.

I also hope to convey the awe and wonderment I have for nature and the intense passion I have for rendering these feelings into art, to create pictures that will draw you in and take your eyes on a journey so you feel as if you could almost step into the landscape and explore it for yourself.
